I think cutting off a rose’s thorns is a sign of weakness. You tame, or control things when you’re afraid of what they’re capable of. You love the beauty of a rose, but avoid putting up the effort of trying to go around the thorns.

The only good thing about not getting to see my boyfriend everyday is that when I do get to see him it makes the day much more memorable.
